Senior Partner Xianzhi Quan published her full-length English thesis “Putting the Pieces Together: A Proposal for a Contributory Infringement Provision in Patent Law” in the spring 2016 edition of the “Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property” (pp. 476-503).
The author made an introduction regarding the contributory infringement in the United States, Japan, Germany, and China contrastively, and then she analyzed the criticisms of the situation in China. A proposal for a patent contributory infringement provision in China was put forward in the thesis, which provides an analysis of the legislation of contributory patent infringement and has positive practical significance under the present context where Chinese Patent Law is being modified.
The Intellectual Property Law program at Chicago-Kent College of Law ranks 5th among law school programs in the United States. Its professional academic journal “Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property” boasts a high reputation in the United States.
This thesis is only the latest work by Xianzhi Quan, who has also written “Practice Guide of China Patents” (in Chinese), “Chinese designs and related laws” (in Japanese) and “Points of the third revision of Chinese Patent Law” (in Japanese).
