American Lawyer Richard Daingerfield Invited as Legal Counsel of Longan

Recently, Longan law firm signed a consultant contact with American Lawyer Richard Daingerfield, inviting him to be Longan’s American legal counsel. The establishment of this cooperation will help promote foreign investment and financing for the legal services of Longan, while enhancing the professionalism and authority of Longan’s legal services in the field of banking, finance and cross-border trade.

Richard Daingerfield has practiced banking law for 35 years. For much of that time, he has concentrated on commercial lending transactions of all types and sizes and the workout of defaulted loans, including commercial and bankruptcy litigation.
Mr. Daingerfield began his career at a prominent NJ law firm before joining the in-house legal department at National Westminster Bank in New York City in 1986. His positions at NatWest and its successors have included SVP & General Counsel of NatWest NJ, EVP & Chief Legal Officer of NatWest Holdings, EVP & Chief Legal Officer of the Royal Bank of Scotland NY Branch (after RBS acquired NatWest in 2000) and, from 2010 until he retired on June 30, 2014, EVP & General Counsel of Citizens Financial Group, Inc. in Boston. Mr. Daingerfield now serves on the board of directors of Peapack-Gladstone Bank, a $3 billion community bank in NJ. He is a member of its executive committee and audit committee and chairs its risk committee. Mr. Daingerfield has held leadership positions in several professional associations and is a frequent lecturer on commercial lending and other financial services topics.
