Cindy Xianzhi Quan, Wang Haiyu and Zhao Yiping Attended the 140th INTA Annual Meeting

 From May 19 to 23, 2018, the 140th INTA Annual Meeting was held in Seattle. Longan’s senior attorneys Cindy Xianzhi Quan, Wang Haiyu and Wang Yiping attended the meeting, and they have met their partners from over 30 countries including America, Canada, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Finland, South Africa, Argentina, Russia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, etc., which is conducive to provide clients with IPR protection globally.

The International Trademark Association (INTA) is an international non-profit organization composed of global brand owners and trademark organizations. INTA is committed to pushing forward the development of trademark and relevant IPR, protecting the interests of consumers, and maintaining a fair and effective trade order. Till now, INTA has more than 6700 member units, including world-famous brand owners, such as Nike, Intel, CITIC Group, PepsiCo, McDonald's, Yamaha, LEGO, etc.
This annual meeting lasted 5 days with more than ten thousand participators from IPR service corporation, law firms and organizations of trademark, patent, copyright, domain trade, etc. It is unprecedented with over 300 academic forums, 100 association committee meetings, 20 wine parties and various activities.
Cindy Xianzhi Quan, the senior partner of Beijing Longan Law Firm. She earns a Master’s degree in Computer Science & Technology from Tsinghua University, Master of Laws degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and on-job doctorate in Civil, Commercial and Economic Law from China University of Political Science and Law. Meanwhile, she is in the list of the expert database of the IPR Case Research Center of Supreme People's Court and serves as part-time tutor in China University of Political Science and Law, director of China Case Law Research Society, lecturer of JIPA and general liaison for Women in AIPLA Asia.
 

Ms. Quan has over ten-year experience in patent and trademark application and seven-year experience in IPR litigation and operation, specializing in providing clients with comprehensive IPR prosecuting and defending strategies. She also serves as the legal adviser of many entrepreneurial firms, listed companies, international groups, which also helps her gain abundant experience in enterprise legal risk prevention, enterprise investing and financing and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
